Before you use your York Pass, please note the following important points:

  • Your York Pass is programmed to be activated the first time it is used at an attraction.
  • It will then be active for the day or consecutive days shown on the front of your pass.
  • One day comprises of one calendar day, not a 24 hour period. The pass will expire at midnight on the last day of its duration.
  • Each York Pass is allocated a unique QR code, which is swiped at each attraction visited.

At the attraction

When you get to the attraction the benefits of the York Pass become clear. Each participating attraction has installed a QR Code reader to ensure convenience and ease of access for all York Pass holders.

  • Go to the admission point bearing the York Pass signs or follow the instructions set out on the attraction page.
  • The attendant will record your pass details.
  • You don’t have to pay an admission fee.
  • The entry price for the attraction will be deducted from your York Pass.
  • Please ensure you check all details about the attraction you wish to visit in the relevant section of this guidebook.
  • Please note the York Pass permits one entry to each attraction for the duration of the pass.

Please note

The York Pass is non-transferable. No replacements or refunds can be offered for lost or stolen cards. The York Pass provides you with entries to Attractions for 1 day, or for consecutive days as purchased up to the full public entry values.

Your York Pass is valid for use on consecutive days for the duration you have selected. At the end of your validity period or when your purse value has been used up, the pass will expire and will no longer allow access to attractions. Passes can only be used at each attraction once.

Top Tip: It is important to note that a ‘day’ is based on a calendar day, so should you first use your pass at 4pm on Monday, Monday is counted as day one of your pass usage.
